Brief

SIGG’s China licensee asked us to build a footwear collection from scratch for the Swiss bottle maker. Before any shoes could be drawn, the collection needed a design language rooted in SIGG’s Swiss heritage that could carry across running, training, and trail styles.

Process

We distilled Swiss design into four principles. Heritage looks at the sports, brands, and objects that make Switzerland a benchmark for considered design. Precision draws on the clean, lasting details of Swiss product design. Alpine takes color, texture, and gear from life in the Alps. Restraint follows Swiss graphic design and Helvetica, with simple elements, grid layouts, and careful use of negative space. Each principle pairs its sources with footwear references that show how it could translate into product, and together they set the rules for the Plus Collection.
